Trick or Treating is lots of fun. This year have a super fun HOWL-O-WEEN and help the animals that survived the California Forest Fires by TRICKING OR TREATING for Bumper!
When you and the gang go door to door in pursuit of yummy people treats, make a difference in the lives of animals caught in the recent fires.
Here’s what you do:
1. Cut out the label below 2. Tape it on to a soup can, milk box, plastic pumpkin or other container and 3. Take it with you when you go Trick or Treating. 4. Then ask everyone you meet if they want to help the animals recover from the wildfires by donating to your favorite animal rescue organization THE BUMPER FOUNDATION 5. Bring the donations to adoptions the next Saturday or 6. Give your donations to Mom and Dad who will turn your cash into a check and mail it to THE BUMPER FOUNDATION 920 North Hudson Ave. Pasadena, CA 91104-4506.
Thank you one and all on behalf of all the Underdogs of L.A!

LOVE IN A TIME OF TRAGEDY
Wildfires still rage in California. The sun sets bright red through hazy smoke in Los Angeles. Our hearts are with the people and Animals who are affected by this epic tragedy. We’ve been told that help is on the way for the people of California. George Bush has declared California a disaster area and has promised to help….for people - not for animals.
So we here at Bumper decided to take matters into our own paws to raise funds to benefit the independent GRASSROOTS 501 c3 animal rescue organizations of California, the unsung heros on the front line.
While bigger organizations take the spotlight and the lions share of funding, independent rescue groups who work shoulder to shoulder don’t get funding. There is no trickle down economics. It’s up to US: you, me and all animal loving Angelenos to come together in support of the Animals.
NEWS
Our first call for help went to my long time friend PAULA POUNDSTONE. Paula immediately said yes. Invitations are going out to lots of other comedians and some notorious well known local musicians. As things come together we will post the updates right here.
MONTABLAN THEATRE SET AS VENUE
The kind animal loving folks at the landmark Montalban Theatre, a thousand seat theatre located on Vine Street in the heart of Hollywood offered us their beautiful theatre. With your help we will fill every seat.
Before we can put ticket number one on sale, we need donations to offset the cost of printing the tickets. Same goes for our Posters and Advertising. If you have a skill or talent and want to help we need YOU.
Your FINANCIAL SUPPORT is necessary. Please click the pay pal button on the side of the page. As more coordinators get on board, we’ll provide information about donations of pet food, blankets and toys.
For more information e-mail info@bumperfound.org. It may take a moment or two to get back to you….there is only one of me here right now and I type with two paws.
Love to all,
Bumper
RUN, HELP, DO!
JILL GATSBY JOINS SHELTER ME
Jill Gatsby has written and performed over 50 original songs and released 5 CD’s to date. In 2002 she toured across the United States for the Fallen Heroes of 9/11 and sang at over 50 firehouses across 17 states. In additon to her music career, Jill is a prolific screenwriter, director and actor. “Music is what sets me free and allows me to be the quiet voice that lives inside of me.”
Jill is pictured with her companion TWIGLETT.
Teddie is a two-year-old beautiful male Lhasa Apso. He has the face of a Teddie Bear (hence the name) and a big personality. Teddie’s hobbies are playing catch, dropping objects in the pool to watch them sink, and protecting his home. Teddie would thrive in a household that can give him lots of attention, especially if he could be walked regularly. His owners’s schedules have kept them from committing the time needed for Teddie. They say that he is a beautiful, loving dog who will make great companion for the right home. Teddie is neutered and up to date on all vaccines. Interested parties contact Tracy Dority at tracidority@mac.com (310) 418-2433 or Ashley Gallagher at (310) 937-6369 for more information.
Maddie
Maddie is approximately 7 months old, weighs 9 pounds 6 oz. We think she is a Bichon or Poodle mix. Maddie is adorable and very sweet, a complete lap doggie. She is microchipped, spayed and vaccinated. Maddie is great with other dogs and with kids. Maddie was rescued as a stray but her foster mom could not keep her. Interested parties should contact Mary Chatman at 323 758 8992 or email maryslittlelambs@ca.rr.com to request an application.
SAMMY
Precious Sammy is an alert, beautiful fawn Shephard mix who is fun of fun and affection. He adores people yet is a great watchdog. He also loves to play roughhouse with other dogs and even our cat. Sammy is approximately a year old, healthy, neutered and microchipped. The very fortunate new owner will have a loving and active companion willing to accompany him anywhere. He enjoys cuddling as a favorite pastime, as well. This handsome fellow is housebroken and is an inside/outside dog. He needs a nice yard or someone to run with, or better yet, both. Being the Alpha boy that he is, his intelligence, communication and leadership skills are apparent. Sammy is a wonderful companion and will love you forever!
